Angell Construction is proud to announce the completion of a multi-year project to restore and modernize a historic downtown theater into a vibrant music and performing arts venue, while also adding multiple stories to accommodate housing and commercial business needs of the community. This unique project was a collaboration between Angell Construction and a team of creative designers and developers from Boredom Killing Business, resulting in a stunning modernist take on form and functionality.

The project began with the restoration of the historic theater, preserving much of its original architecture while updating the interior to meet the needs of a modern performing arts venue. Structural steel upgrades fortified the structure from within and creative reuses of historic materials and building technique stand out at nearly every surface. The team worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail, from the acoustics to the unique layout, was perfect for both performers and audience members.

In addition to the theater renovation, we also added multiple stories to the building to create space for housing and commercial businesses. The new construction seamlessly blends with the historic theater through the use of bold steel and concrete, creating a cohesive and visually striking structure that adds a relevant and modern statement to the downtown area.

Throughout the project, Angell Construction worked closely with the designers and developers to ensure that the building not only looked beautiful but also functioned efficiently. The result is a wonderful example of Northwest modern architecture that meets the diverse needs of the growing and vibrant community.

The completion of this project marks a significant milestone for Angell Construction and the community as a whole.
